Scenic Construction for the Winter Olympics Vancouver
Production Plus was honored to participate in the celebration by constructing the medal stage at the Winter Olympics for the Olympians to receive their gold, silver, and bronze medals. We were brought in to finish this project with a very tight deadline. Our skilled scenic construction designed and constructed the pre-built stage then disassembled and shipped it over the border in time to reassemble with all staging and audio-visual aspects within 45 days.
We incorporated the Olympic symbol of five interlocking rings representing the union of five continents with the Vancouver theme. We designed the stage in vibrant blue and green with high-quality, professional artwork adorning the background. We constructed the stage under a half dome, within another dome of blue and green colors, with spectacular lighting throughout the entire scenic construction. With two large video screens on each side, all in attendance could witness each Olympian’s historical moment, receiving their medal of honor while representing their country.
